Okay. Watched Degrassi: Drop The World. And after a day of just letting it sink in and then shedding my heartbroken EClare tears, this is what I have to say:

WHAT ON EARTH.

DEGRAY-GRAY WRITERS. WHAT EVEN. DO YOU JUST LOVE TO SEE US ECLARE FANS CRY

I don't even know where to begin. Oh my gosh. I almost feel like I'm experiencing the breakup myself. I am heartbroken and infuriated at the same time. LOL!

I am heartbroken because Eli and Clare are no longer.
And I am infuriated because this season for EClare hit me like a ton of bricks and this is NOT how I wanted their relationship to play out. ;_________;

What bothers me even more is that I can't even pick a side. I mean, I can't put blame on either of them. They are still so young, so you can't expect them to know how to handle every situation right.

I totally understand Eli's clinginess, and I totally understand Clare's reason's for wanting to get away from him. He was being controlling...and scary.

But even still, having Clare dump Eli on the day he lost his ex girlfriend AND hearse?
Really Degrassi Writers? Why would you do that to the poor boy!

And Clare. I understand COMPLETELY why you wanted to break away from Eli. Him crashing Morty to get your attention was NOT the way to go. But you promised him on TWO OCCASIONS that you would be there for him! And you didn't even bother sitting down talking out the whole "suffocation" thing with him!!!

AND THE MISFITS. ARE THE MISFITS OVER TOO NOW!??!?!?

Bleh. But despite how much this episode upset me, the whole cast was AMAZING. (HOLY COW MUNRO CHAMBERS YOU BLOW ME OUT OF THE WATER EVERY TIME :') ) And Jenna having her baby was pretty cute too

Meh. I was certain I would not watch Degrassi as much anymore if Eli and Clare broke up....but now I am dying to see Season 11 to see if they get back together. lol.

And honestly? I still have faith.
Something tells me that the writers wouldn't have put this much development and focus on a Dergassi relationship like EClare's if it was going to just end and be gone forever.
Especially considering that EClare is the most popular and talked about couple ever to be on the entire show. (even more then Semma, yeppers)

It just sucks because Eli needs to get help before he can be with Clare, but being with Clare was how he was getting help.

So worried. But we'll see. In the Degrassi meantime, I will continue to read happy fanfiction and just pretend that Eli and Clare are BS'ing us and are actually getting married on a random tropical island right now.

What a powerful picture. Thank goodness the Season 11 angst is behind us. Season 12 is awesome with Eclare back and stronger than ever!

Eli's pretty chill in Season 12. They're focusing more on the Niners and the rest of the peeps who are getting ready to graduate or going through the magical changes that adult-hood brings. :blah: (Dafuq did I just write? orz)

I SAW THAT EPISODE I WAS SO SAD WHEN THEY BROKE UP.the best thing i did to stop the sadness was to pretend they didn't broke up and maybe they will get back together someday.

Holy fuck I agree with everything you just said. This episode tore MY heart out!!! And now they've turned him into a crazy bipolar maniac, and there was only like two scenes in the WHOLE NEW SEASON where some of sweet, witty, sexy old Eli shone through. AHHHHHH the Degrassi writers and fans of the show have a very complicated hate-love relationship...
